Gateway Program

The Gateway Program provides individual, couples, family, and group services for people of all ages (pre teens to seniors) in a safe and confidential environment. Issues impacting the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, and Intersex (LGBTQI) community such as coping with depression, coming to terms with one’s identity, difficulties with relationships, employment, parenting, and coming out issues are services unique to this program. Linkages to other primary and specialty health services are also provided via Gateway. Gateway is committed to treating all people with respect, unconditional positive regard, and dignity. Gateway provides person centered treatment that is unique to the individual, their needs, and their stated goals. The mission of Gateway is to help individuals recognize and reach their own unique potential.

Persons with gender identity disorders, their families, and social
institutions may use the SOC to understand the current thinking of professionals. All readers should be aware of the limitations of knowledge in this area and of the hope that some of the clinical uncertainties will be resolved in the future through scientific investigation.

The Men’s Alternative Sexuality Group Protocol:
The Men’s Alternative Sexuality Group (MASG) is for individuals suffering from AXIS I disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar, etc.) that may refer to their sexuality as bisexual, pansexual, homosexual, undecided, or searching. The MASG is designed to assist these individuals with the amelioration of mental health symptoms by the creation of coping strategies to fit within the unique lifestyle of the individual.

Transgender Issues Group Protocol:
The Transgender Issues Group (TIG) This group is for those self-identifying as transgender, gender-variant, transsexual or for those who may be struggling with their sexual/gender identity or expression.
